The Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival will be capping off the 2016 summer concert series with concerts in Weaverville, Redding, and San Francisco on the weekend of August 26, 27, and 28. The programs will feature composer and violinist Alisa Rose, who will be joined by pianist Amy Zanrosso and cellist Elizabeth Vandervennet for a program of music by Shostakovich, Dvořák, Prokofiev, and folksy “Dumky Trio”, and a world-premiere of Alisa Rose's new composition, “Piano Trio for Luisa”, a commission by festival sponsor Michael Cogan of Redding.
Thanks to private and corporate sponsors, the festival is able to offer all of its concerts as free events, asking audience members to contribute what they can in the form of a suggested donation.
